End of Arm Tooling

Custom designed EOAT systems to suit your specific requirements

Our in-house engineers have the ability to design and manufacture bespoke end of arm tooling (EOAT) in a variety of systems. This robotic technology uses tools that interact with different parts and components, typically at the end of a robotic arm. Examples of this include; bin picking, welding and material removal. Our designs include; mechanical and vacuum gripping systems, pick and place systems able to handle small 1cm components to large automotive assemblies. 

Grippers

Our gripping and sensing systems for industrial automation enable robots to pick and place, moving items from one location to another. We can incorporate a range of gripper styles including:
 
  • Vacuum cups
    These provide gripping through suctions cups and are ideal for handling uneven surfaces.

  • Mechanical grippers
    Mechanical grippers are usually two or three jaw claws, that articulate the claws as “fingers” to grasp and manipulate objects. Additionally, these grippers have tend to have adjustable force and stroke features allowing for higher precision.

  • Adhesive grippers
    This type of gripper is generally used for lightweight objects, whereby objects are “stuck” to the gripper.

Quick Change Devices

Specially built tooling to improve the efficiency and rate of productivity along an assembly line. This EOAT allows rapid tool changes from drill, grinder, saw or another cutting device.

Sensing

Sensors can be used to monitor or inspect materials and components whilst in production, but can also be used alongside grippers whilst handling fragile items.
